666: Taking back the number

why does the devil get a number
I'm taking it back.

Okay so maybe this is a lil' too far fetched but bear with me.
The cross thing, i just had to do it for the paranoid folks.

Here is the idea.
Start this new month on point.
6 days: for the first 6 days of the new month
6 minutes: for six minutes a day or a multiple of 6 minutes like (12, 18, 30, 60 and so on all depending on your praying skills). Each minute pray for a particular theme.
6 themes:
1 minute to praise God
Repent:  1 minute of sincere repentence
Ask: 1 minute to ask God
1 minute to intercede for someone
Silence: 1 minute in silence to listen to God.
Expectation: 1 minute to expect to claim his promises.

Now if 6 minutes is easy you can double it and pray for each theme for 2 minutes or even do 10 minutes for each theme.
The point is to start the month off right, not cowering behind superstitions symbols.

Mud Cakes

Ingredient List

Three weeks ago an earthquake gave us a glimpse into the lives of Haitians,  mud cakes or mud pies or sand cakes were the REALITY for the last two years leading up to the earthquake. These pies were SOLD in Haiti to help quiet their excruciating hunger pangs.

My excuse for never helping the beggar at the intersection of I-45 and Scott is that I don't have cash.
My excuse for not getting my windshield wiped by the homeless at the intersection of West Bellfort  and HW-59 is that I don't have cash.

So here's the reaction
A bag of apples that sit in my car during these wintry cold months,
when a persons asks for money for food and I don't have cash,
I offer they apple, if they accept I roll down and give it to them.
Now one friend has told me that these people don't want food they just want money for drugs
and that I can get stoned with my apple but I don't know that,
so I offer what I have a prayer and today an apple.

Your voice: One purse

There is more happening here than 10 American missionaries in jail. I guess I came to remind myself of that. No one deserves to die in silence, and no one's struggle to live should go unnoticed as well. ---Anderson Cooper

I want my voice to join his, people in this much pain shouldn't have to suffer in silence.have to struggle so. We are three days away from the one month anniversary of the earthquake and while our TV screens no longer remind us of their tragedy, their pain remains.

While some of us have gotten tired, others are finding innovative ways to give. Mudiwa: Haiti  (pictures shown)is a creation of a friend, who is using her unique talent of making purses to raise money for the Haitian people.

Mudiwa: Haiti - 'hope in a sea of tears'
      - medium black clutch with assymetrical ruffle ('tears') detail dotted with colorful gems('hope').

Mudiwa Designs is a company with a fashionable cause; normally proceeds from these one of a kind purses go towards projects in Zimbabwe . However, the call of Haiti is too loud to ignore. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this purse will be donated to ADRA to assist in the Haiti relief efforts. Bid today!

Letters, telegrams, post-its.
I've written them all over the course of the last two years.

Entertaining they were
and momentarily illuminating one might say in some situations

but that is where they ended
posts on my blog
so this blog is changing, kill seems like a strong word
it is changing to chronicle how I will attempt to be change and not just a prolific letter writer.

It will be updated on the 15th and 30th of each month

don't hate against the template, i'm still trying a couple of them out, but if u like it let mii know.
i like the concept just not the way it looks
