Dear Republican Base

Dear Base,

My family. From you I have learnt how to take a stand and how to affect change in my society. For the longest time, I defined myself by you. I am puzzled by the latest turn of events and by the party that I love so much, i am hoping that you can do mii a favor. I have only one question as we go into the final stretch of this historic and sometimes mind boggling presidential campaign. Why do all of my friends have to believe the same things I do?

Dear Ted

Dear Ted,

I refuse to say I TOLD YOU SO!!!!.
I am not going to say that instead let us take a trip down memory lane. The last 20 years we have spent together in the Senate have been wonderful. I remember during my first year, you took mii under your wing, I have just graduated from the House of Rep. and you called me aside and gave me valuable advice that I still hold to till this day.

I remember late night meetings in your office discussing politics. I miss the good ole days of free drinks and ladies provided by any lobbyist who needed us. I remember the day we were summoned to Bush Snr. Oval Office and begged to support the Energy deal, I remember having to lie to my constituents about how the deal would bring them jobs and you couched me thru that phase.

The Gingrich revolution of the mid 90's solidified our position and having 20 plus years experience at that time we were riding high. I think the best time we had could have been rejecting everything that Clinton wanted to get down, all the times he sent his wife to the Hill to talk about Education, mercy we had a beautiful ride. I recall your words of advice on dealing with the beautiful blond lobbyist and my dumb rich wife. I remember it all.

This letter is not for nostalgic purposes, i wish it were so but it is not.
I have just one thing to tell you, after all the support that you have given mii and all the years we have spent together on the hill, i have just one thing to say to you

QUIT!

You are no longer of use to me in any capacity. You now represent everything that I am pretending to hate and so to continue my farce I have to disassociate myself from you. When I become president I will extend a pardon to you assuming you survive the next four years in whatever prison you end up in.

Dear Colin Powell

I love you and it absolutely nothing to do with you endorsing Obama. I know that is hard to believe in light of recent facts and the Meet the Press Interview but I remain true to who I am.

For the last 8 years I have watched the party I love be ripped to shreds by factions that think the fate of the unborn child is more important than the millions of living ones in failed school systems.

For the last 8 years I have watched the party I have supported for decades sell our soul for a couple of bucks to the highest bidder.

For the last 8 years I have watched the party I admire lie and connive and misled the nation all in order to enrich their personal coffers

For the last 8 years I have watched the nation torn apart by minute differences instead of uniting behind a common cause

For the last 8 years I have regretted the vote I cast that fateful day November 7 morning in Miami.

For the last 8 years I have seen patriotism used as a weapon by the greedy to subjucate the free voice of the people.

For the last 8 years I have seen fear used as a weapon by the weak to dilute the Constution of the United States.

For the last 8 years I have watched the foundations of not only my party but my church disintegrate because we have been more concerned by what the world does.

The damage that has been done in 8 years cannot be righted with one endorsement and that is why I repeat that I am not in love with you because you endorsed Obama, I don't subscribe to the mentality that he can fix all of our problems like some do.

I love you because listening to you reminded mii of why I joined this party.
Integrity and Truth
Compassion and Welfare
Freedom and Fiscal Conservatism

ahhh i miss the good ole days
thanks for reminding mii of our greatness

A response to VOTE THE BIBLE

As I was saying yesterday. I got the VOTE the BIBLE forward and then sent it on to all the people that I had sent the Moveon.org ad to, in order to balance the information being sent and one of my other friends was soo livid she sent this back to mii and wanted to pass it on to my other friend. Of course I couldn't allow that so the blog gets it instead.

Your forward stops here. No one in my list will get this bull crap that you are pushing around as doctrine. No wonder people hate Christians, NO wonder so many people have left the church and don't believe. The bible says "come all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest" The bible doesn't say if you are white, not gay, and don't have a baby daddy then come. The bible doesn't discriminate against race, color, religion, or sexual orientation. The bible does say that God loves the sinner and hates the sin. But are you God? Do you get to go around and condemn people that don't agree with you. I didn't read anywhere in my bible (and I have been a xtian all my life) where the Bible says "hey you Christians it is your job to condemn anyone who doesn't look, think or act like you do" Because of this kind of belief we had all that killing in the New Testament, and all the raids and most major wars of the earliest century. Tolerance is replaced by the sense of entitlement because you feel you are enlightened therefore now you are the judge of all man kind. Most of the crap that you sent me about Obama was his philosophy on a woman's right to choose or people being gay. Can you focus on his economic policy, or his belief that we shouldn't have gone to Iraq. How about you have a debate on that. Its funny how this educated man has bested people like you to the point that you misquote scripture to support your right wing mentality...

I don't know you, nor do I know why you are forwarding me this crap! But I will emphasize, that even Christians must learn to speak the truth. Please read through the forward, there are so many fallacies that I cannot even begin to address. What I will say to you is this:

Speak to the children in inner city Baltimore that sit 50 to a classroom in black neighborhoods and 10 to a class in white neighborhoods and explain to me how the Mcain/Bush doctrine of no child left behind has aided them?

Speak to my friend who is dying of a heart defect and can't get health care to cover her cost of medical expenses and explain to her how the Bush/McCain doctrine will help her

Speak to my friend's daughter who could have been saved but she didn't have any transplant organs that matched her Donner type and now she is on a machine, struggling to live one more day, every day. Or the little girl I taught in 2005, 13 years old with ovarian cancer, that stem cell research could have helped to keep her cancer from spreading but you know she is not part of the top 5% and doesn't deserve to live? right? and now her parents marriage is faltering under the weight of medical bills. But who cares, they are muslim so they deserve to die right? Despite the fact that they were born and bread in America.

Speak to my husband's former co-workers that now line the unemployment lines because Lehman Brothers was expected to "trickle down" money to the people on main street and explain how the bush/McCain doctrine helps them. Under the weight of for-closure, divorce seems to be the only way out. Do you actually think they want to hear you say "God loves you" "God has the answer right now?" No! My dear ignoramus they want solutions!

Speak to my cousin who just got sent back to Iraq for another term and explain to him why his buddies who died last year or others on their 4th tour are still defending a war that we never should have gotten into

While you "Bible Carrying" anarchists keep touting and quoting scriptures, the abused, underprivileged average "Joe six pack" (as your intended VP would say) suffer. Misquoting the message of Christ's need to share love. One of my fave. scriptures is "But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in..." Where is love, mercy, and treating your fellow brother sister just like you want to be treated? Did Jesus judge Mary Magdalene or pater or Matthew or any of the other people that followed him? did he sit there and condemn the nation because some people didn't believe the way he believed? No he did not...but you do...Instead he went ahead and martyred himself so all that choose to believe could have redemption. Following the Bible is a choice not a mandate.

What is your business what a gay man/woman does? Are you God? Why not love those who do not believe as you? Instead of sitting in judgement of what they choose or how they choose to spend their lives. Should that not be between them and their maker? Should God not be the one to point the finger? The Bible is very clear that our mission as Christians is to love and spread the message of God's love. Not to judge others for "judge not least you also be judged" in the same vein. How about we pick your life apart and see how clean your robe would be then? Who are you to measure which sin is greater,? Believe me, it is so simple for you to take apart other people than look at your own life. How easily we forget the same ministers you defend that rape little children, or the same minister's you defend that are embezzling funds, or members of your church that sit in the pews on Sunday/Sat. and then go home and beat their wife or molest their children... Who are you to sit in judgement? Are these not all sins? But you fixate on Rev. Wright. Are you an African American? Do you know the mental slavery and corruption that this race is experiencing on a Daily basis? Of course not! Yet you judge him for speaking his mind. And by the way when Mr. Ayers was doing his "radical" stuff, Obama was in Hawaii, 8 yrs old.

How about we judge you today based on the stunts you pulled when you were young? The past is the past! If the U. S. Govt. has let the past go, who are you? Does that same Bible not say "Forgive and Forget". The U. S. Govt. did...but you are a Christian so all rules of the Bible do not apply to you...

The bible is very clear on "judge not lest you also be judged". And have you forgotten the concept of separation of church and state? Why impose your own beliefs on that of the whole nation. By trying to protect the Bible and religion you have made it a mockery and a repulsive "occult" that stems from hate, and lack of tolerance.

Get some sense! If you want 8 more years of torture, poverty, unemployment and suffering . If you want to continue to live in your blind state because you don't want to go out and minister but prefer to judge people. If you want to continue to be "ignorant" of what is happening in the real world and how America is loosing it's footing in the world economy then a Palin/McCain ticket is your call.

Vote John McCain, you radical. I wish you and the rest of the country well.

Me...If John McCain wins...I will move to China!

Peace!

Vote the Bible

I sent a link to my blog to a couple of friends to show them the lastest moveon.org ad against McCain.

This is the reply i got. I am thinking that my friend got this forward and sent it to mii and did not really sit down and create this missive in response to my link.(At least that is what I HOPE)

VOTE THE BIBLE ! !

Those of you who know me know that I value time as a precious commodity. However, with the election just about a month away I felt that this couldn’t wait, and thisneeded to be said. I think the media has silenced many Christians by demanding "tolerance," "change," or playing the race card. All of their propaganda aside, I've decided to play the Christian card. How does Obama’s voting record line up with the Bible?
One verse sums up Obama,
Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.Below are ten reasons why someone claiming to be a Christian should NOT vote for Barack Hussein Obama. I pray that you will read this, vote accordingly, and pass it on to your friends.

1. He has voted in support of infanticide--PROVERBS 6:16-17 (see http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=18647)In 2002, as an Illinois legislator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies that survived late-term abortions.

2. He is definitely pro-abortion JEREMIAH 1:5 (http://www.nrlc.org/Election2008/obamarecord0608.pdf)He has maintained a 100% pro-choice rating with planned parenthood and NARAL, cosponsoring the Freedom of Choice Act

3. He is not in favor of traditional marriage between one man and one woman. GENESIS 2:24 (see http://www.cnsnews.com/Public/Content/article.aspx?RsrcID=31916) In an open letter to the "lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual" (LGBT) community that was posted on Obama's official campaign website on February 28, 2008, Obama wrote that he unequivocally favors completely repealing the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).

4. He supports same-sex marriage ROMANS 1:26-27; LEVITICUS 20:13 (see http://www.sacbee.com/111/story/1051404.html) The Illinois senator said he supports extending "fully equal rights and benefits to same-sex couples under both state and federal law."

5. He support the teaching of homosexuality in schools 1 CORINTHIANS 6:9-10; MATTHEW 18:6 (see http://www.cfr.org/publication/14313/) "And if we feed them hope, and we feed them reason and tolerance, then they will become tolerant and reasonable and hopeful. And that, I think, is one of the most important things that the next president can do"

6. He supports funding research using human life in the form of embryonic stem cells ISAIAH 49:1,5; PSALM 139-13-16 (http://obama.senate.gov/press/070411-obama_renews_su/) "I stand in full support of the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act as I did when this bill was introduced and sent to the President’s desk in the 109th Congress. I am proud to be an original cosponsor of this bill."

7. He has known ties to U.S. homegrown terrorists and convicted felon Tony Rezko 1 CORINTHIANS 15:33(see http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/04/us/politics/04ayers.html?bl&ex=1223352000&en=97a61d8ecb16e341&ei=5087%0A) Bill Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn helped found the radical Weathermen, launching a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and United States Capitol. While Obama was only 8 years old at the time, he has since served on boards with Ayers and bonded their relationship as Obama jumped into politics with Ayers help and support.

8. He views anyone who doesn't believe his way to be bitter ROMANS 1:22 (see http://inkslwc.wordpress.com/2008/04/12/barack-obama-bitter-pennsylvanians-cling-to-guns-or-religion/ )"So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

9. For twenty years he sat at the feet of a "preacher" who says blacks should not sing God Bless America, but rather God @#$* America and promotes more racial strife EXODUS 18:21 (see http://www.newsmax.com/kessler/obama_wright_pastor/2008/04/13/87617.html). If ever there was a place in which someone should get up and leave if you don't agree with the teachings, it would be in this horrible worship setting--yet Obama remained there for 20+ years.

10. He was educated for at least four years in a so-called Madrassa (or MUSLIM SEMINARY)! MATTHEW 7:15 (see http://www.insightmag.com/Media/MediaManager/Obama_2.htm) Are the American people ready for an elected president who was educated in a Madrassa as a young boy and has not been forthcoming about his Muslim heritage?Help get the word out. This man is not a wise choice or a Christian choice to lead our country. Mark 7:6
SPREAD THIS WORD!!!

Blog Action Day

Do you have rights?
Does red blood flow through your veins?
Are we, as humans, all entitled to the same rights?
Should each human be treated with respect and without prejudice?
Is your life worth more than mine because of the country of your birth?

Today is Blog Action Day and this year we are talking about Poverty. Yeah, poverty, not the stock market crash or the election. Poverty.

You see every three seconds a person dies of a poverty related illness
but the blood is their viens is blue and not red so we don't care.
Their life means nothing, and so we do nothing.

I could go on and on but I know I can't convince you that life is equal that the breath in your lungs and mine is no different than that in the Sudanese child selling her body to a UNICEF worker to feed her sibling. How do I know you don't see life as equal, hmmmm let mii see about 60 years ago the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was written. Less than 30 thousand humans have signed it.

Dear College Students,

Do not do anything new in college, do not meet new people, do not have roommates from other countries, do not drink, smoke, go to rallys or expand your horizons. Please remain the same ignorant narrow minded child created by your parents. Please spend your college years doing exactly what your parents want, do not rebel, do not grow, do not learn from your expereinces. Continue to perpetuate the lives your parents want you to have. I am begging you. Please

Today in a flash

Life hasn't gone the way i suspected the last couple of days and so I have been preoccupied with personal issues that the Dow Jones, gas prices, presidential townhall debate haven't had time to have dinner with my braincells.

But today is friday
and so I have to say a couple of things.

1. Sarah Palin: i don't know how you began the object of so much praise and derision, but one thing I do know is that trying to identify with the American people by saying hockey mom and Joe-six-pack is insulting. So stop it.

2. Joe Biden: I applaud the way you have handled your grief and your son's departure, I also applaud your restraint.

3. Obama: I really did not want you to be at the top of the ticket Biden was my pick ever since last year but life isn't fair, I have accepted that you are the nominee that being said what is wrong with you, 30 minutes in primetime, you really think we need 30 minutes to make up our minds. Look this is going to backfire because too much of something is never good and 30 minutes which is a whole lot more than 30 second ads is dangerous.

4. McCain: I am ashamed to have voted for you eight years ago. I will say it over and over again, you are what we needed 8 years ago but now ..... Having Sarah P do your dirty work is beneath you, choosing her as your running mate was ill advised and this latest smear to portray Obama as a terrorist by Sarah sanctioned by you is beneath even you.

5. Bush: you have appro. 102 days more in office, please try not to screw this world up any more. please be a lameduck please pretty please i am begging you ohhhhhhhh, the world needs you to not screw it up.

6. Hillary: I miss you soo much

7. State election officials: getting rid of voters a month before the election is the most ill advised nonsense i have heard this week and believe mii i have heard alot. Americans are not the smartest people on the planet but a repeat of Florida would be disastrous even for you.

8. Bill Richardson: your five seconds were up months ago stop bringing up old dirt by slinging accusation at Bill Clinton.

9. AIG: it is not your fault, it is ours. It is our fault for bailing you out and letting you throw lavish parties at expensive resorts.

10. America: please tell mii that you have registered to vote. lie to mii and tell mii that you know your precinct. I really need that so that this weekend can have a happy note.

Dear Karl

Dear Rove,

How long has it been since you left? It seems like yesterday we were sitting in the Rose room trying to get Trent Lott to stay in the game. I can't believe that we have both been out of the game for over a year. As I sit here I remember the easy days, getting laws passed on the Hill was such a breeze, meetings in the Oval Room with Romney in the early days, trying to convince Powell that we were right. Mercy, I miss the good 'ole days. Sometimes I wish we were in the late 1930's and FDR was our man, of course it would have been harder to mold him into what we wanted him to be but still 16 years. Think about it, 16 years to rule and change and impact our world and cleanse it.

Why am I taking you on this trip down memory lane? Why am I bringing up the past and asking you to dream with me? I am doing all of this because I do not understand what you are doing. I know that you need a reason to smile and that you need to feel alive. I know that you feel the weight of age and time on your back but becoming a hired hand to the news agency is PATHETIC. You are better than this, we all are.

I know how you feel. You feel like the world has forgotten you and that you are being replaced by the Davids, Obamas and Palins of the world. I feel the same day everytime I open up the paper and see some two bit Harvard Grad. turned campaign manager spouting electoral map jargon, i feel the same way everytime I turn on the TV and I see these yuppies. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL

But we can not betray our core, we cannot forsake that which we know to be true, we must not submit to the despair and become like a used hollywood actress. We are better than that. We create legends, start wars, define generations, shake up global perception. We do not need to be seen to work

Remember that
We do not need to be seen to do our work
So recede from the masses, stop giving your precious words to any news agency
and call me because I have found our next clay pot

what
some guy gets 19 million dollars as a severance package for 3 weeks
his predecessor at WAMU walked away with 44 million
some other bastard in 2007 walked away with a 161 million package

so yeah
President Bush
Obama
Dodd
McCain
Biden
Palin
all of you need to stop smoking pot and telling american that they need to pay for this
$10,000 per tax payer
519million dollars went to 13 or was it 14 CEO screw ups.
519 million dollars
and yet the average american holding down 2 jobs working at walmart is supposed to cough up 10,000 to bail out these bastards
seriously
why don't we take there severance packages of half a billion invest it in some cool venture let's say China or Japanese technology

you sit on your self righteous chairs and criticize the world about corruption but you are doing the same thing, the only difference is that you then get the american people to pay it off

Dear John McCain

Jonny,
i have other stuff that I need to be doing, I am supossed to be working with George, I mean President George, in twisting a couple of arms and getting our people to vote on a bill that our president supports. We live in crazy times, I never thought that I would have to lobby to our own base but such is life.

back to the point
I don't have time to pick up the phone and call you so here it is

This is low, even for you. You are crying foul play for the debate that hasn't even happened yet. You have lowered expectations so much for Sarah, that right now all she has to is show up and not trip while shaking hands with Biden and she will be fine.

This is low, even for you. When you came to me and we were tossing names around, I told you that this wouldn't work, if the convention was in October then yeah I guess you could have limited her appearances but did you really think that the American public is that dumb to not want to here what she has to say??

This is low, even for you. A couple of days ago, I turned on the TV and you were sitting there with HER whinning about an American CITIZEN asking a question. YOU had to speak for HER and then you said I will let SARAH speak for herself

So yeah I have other things to do so i'll round up
1. Stop defending her, she can do it herself I HOPE
2. Stop sheltering her, she is going to be the first female VP, we need to know if our daughters will look up to her and if our mothers will welcome her to dinner
3. Stop playing the experience card, it makes you look dumb for putting a clueless person as your running mate, okay dumb is the wrong word it makes you look like a fool, naw that is too harsh, it makes you look like a hypocrite and a person who doesn't know how to make good decisions.
4. Start praying
because you are going to need a lot in the next 4 weeks

Joe-six pack American

“I know what Americans are going through there,” Palin said on the radio show. “And you know, even today, Todd and I are looking at what’s going on in the stock market, the relatively low number of investments that we have, looking at the hit that we’re taking, probably $20,000 dollars last week in his 401K plan that was hit. “I’m thinking, ‘Geez, the rest of America, they’re facing the exact same thing that we are. We understand what the problems are.’”

Yes we do
We allll do
thank you for once again not giving us a solution but letting us know that you know what is going on

so yeah
thanks Sarah
we are allll in this together

Dear Mike Bloomberg,

We go back, wayyyyyyyyyyyyy back, but I don't know if I support your recent decision. I am not entirely sure if this is the way to go. There has been alot going on and there will be a lot of decisions that need to be made and we need a strong leader but A THIRD TERM. Are you saying that there is NO one else to help us thru this.

Hmmmmmmmmmm
I'm thinking
